Hello All!
I promise we didn't forget about the blog- but the days just go by so quickly and between Hillary and I taking pictures, we didn't have them all in the same place! And what's a blog without pictures?!
So here's a recap of some things we've been doing in class!
We had our news broadcasts. This was our vocabulary activity for the week. The students each had to use their
Wordly Wise vocabulary words for the week and incorporate them into their portion of the broadcast. (Among the students, we are on four different levels, so each student was responsible for their own words for the week.) Each broadcast had two news anchors, a sports segment, the weather report, and a health update. Everyone did a spectacular job with this- it's always great seeing our theatrical personalities come out!

What a great looking group of newscasters, weathermen (and women), traffic reporters, and sports broadcasters! |
We also had a great time at our first annual Snowden School Spirit Week!! Our spirit days were baby day, senior citizen day, and we ended the week with a wacky spirit day! Special thanks to all you parents who made sure your students were dressed up and ready for a fun week! Believe it or not, despite all the goofy pictures and costumes, the students still worked hard all week; so it was a great break on Thursday when we were able to put aside the school books and have a fun afternoon!
